Default Scca RallyCross 2001 RS Racecar Build

I bought a 2001 2.5 RS. The car is Pretty much all stock. I am starting a journal finally. Last Night I put in a radiator which does not fit from a legacy L. I searched and saw people who used the turbo legacy radiator but This one does not have the same mounting on the bottom. I got the car not too long ago so far I have put in Mobil1 EP in the engine. I Changed out the Power steering fluid. I bought 8 quarts for lubromolly Sythetic gear oil for the trans and rear diff 75w-90. I plan on buying a jdm sti and swapping everything into this car unless I can find a usdm totaled sti for cheap enough or a us wrx totalled. I do want to build a 2.0 Liter do to the class it would put me in. I took some pictures with my phone I will post them tonight of the outside of the car and a couple interior shots. I want to weigh the car but I dont know where I can, I am removing all the sound deadening right now and then I will seam weld the whole car. The car has 25,000 miles at the moment, as soon as I get my 2.0 engine I will sell this 2.5 L here so if anyone needs a VERY low milage 2.5 soon I have this guy, I checked the compression on all 4 cylinders and they are all 160 Exactly. At the moment this car starts to misfire backfire and hesitate when it gets to operating temp and gets worse the warmer it gets. I see someone butchered the wiring after it was in an accident, So I got a crank and cam sensor at a junkyard didnt fix it. I see a wire going somewhere under the intake that someone put a resistor on in series and when i take out the resistor it doesnt start I think this has something to do with the problem possibly. all the codes are subaru specific I need to write them down. My plan for this car is too put the brian crower stroker kit with sleeves and brian crower valve train, standalone ECU. Transmission Im not sure yet. i want the car to look as close to a 22b/jdm sti as possible. Interior and exterior. So After I do all the seam welding I will install sti door panels and seats. A full roll cage I will hide it as best I can. I work at garret Turbochargers so I get turbos at cost. I have my own shop so I have a welder and a shop to work at anytime. I hope this build comes out nice. I work at garrett during the day and at my shop through the night so that is how I will finance this car. I hope if I do it nice enough I may get a couple of sponcers to help. Thanks for reading my journal. -David

wow 25k miles. thats like gold for this car. very cool idea though. If it was me I'd pick up an L for this build because of the low milleage, but either way, its going to be very fun

I do feel bad about it. I work 40 miles from my house, so if I drive it.... 500 miles a week minimum. I would ruin it in no time. I figure if I sell the engine someone can enjoy the low miles haha. Or I could leave the engine for a while and do everything else. It doesnt matter but I do want to go turbo I work at garrett being around turbos all day without having one makes me crazy. I am useing this car to advertise my shop as well. A stock engine doesnt show our potential at our shop. We shall see
