It’s been a ten-year journey. It seemed like money or the ownership of other cars prevented me from being with my automotive true love. But now that she’s here, the wait is finally over and a long and hopefully amazing relationship can begin.

When I first met my GC, she was in pretty good shape. She had the typical flaws found in a car of her vintage, but for the most part, the minor surface rust and typical dings only served to bring out the tuner in me. I look forward to the challenge of bringing back her original beauty with a few personal touches, like an overpowered engine and the body to hold it.

The rebuild will likely take about a year and will involve a typical engine swap with matching stopping power, some interior work and an exterior face lift. When all is said and done, I hope to end up with a "Sunday" track car that is livable on the street.

So without further adieu, here she is, my 1999 Impreza 2.5RS in Aspen White...The Ghost Car.

Ver-7 engine has arrived and is currently being rebuilt (thank God

). While this is being done, the body will go in for seam welding and a cage. Hopefully the suspension bits will come in as well so the car can be put together before winter. It would be nice to break it in and then drive it "spiritedly" before the snow falls.

I would like a Bakemono front lip (sponsorship, maybe? ;p) to complete the 22B front-end look now that it's installed and I still need to decide whether I want to go wide body or whether I should just "roll" the fenders.
