| Premium Member | Using the DIY STM Color Match on here, I painted the door guards. Really cleaned up the look. Before ![]() After ![]() I might do the mirrors too. | Premium Member | The bad stuff As some of you might know, my car has been sitting in the garage with a blown motor for almost 2 weeks now. It seems like it's been 3 years. I had plans before this to swap the shortblock that would take more boost than my EJ22E. So after talking to a couple people, I found an EJ205 shortblock with spun rod and main bearings. Since then, I've got the motor pulled, and the heads off. All I'm waiting for is parts and I'm ready to get it all back together. They should be here within the next 2 days. Anyways, enough talking, here's pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was having a squeaking noise before my motor blew. This was it: ![]() ![]() The bearing inside the idler pulley completely shattered, it skipped timing and bent 8 valves. Luckily, I sourced a set of the same heads for 40 bucks. Another part that I'm waiting to be able to pick up. That's about all I have for pictures right now. Now that the motor is out and everything I need is off the EJ22, it's going perty steady.
