Default Kagu Tsuchi- Mikey's 2.5rs

OK so this is my lovely members journal. Thanks for visiting. Please take the time to post, i would love to hear your comments.

Theory:
I intend this car as my daily driver that is calm and easy to drive. The cars in my past needed a seperate instruction manual just to drive them. You had to learn what the mystery switches did or where to kick it to get it to run right.

But not this car. i want it to be able where ANYONE with basic car knowledge can drive it in comfort while being able to kick ass and take names.

I dont ever want to stray from that path and i promise to myself to not let that change.

Now on to the car

Story:

Ive always wanted a 2 door rs. i just never really had the money to buy one. thats when a good friend called me up with a deal. he was using it as a parts car and a lot of the parts went to another L to make it a swapped monster. so i got it missing parts and wrecked, As seen here:

It was in a major front end accident and needed major frame work. it was around 3 inches too short long ways and 4 inches towards the passenger side and about a inch down.

i got it back from the frame shop and its nice and square now. not perfect but couldnt get much closer.

Here are some shots from this weekend, putting in the rear end and trying to put it together as much as possible.

Thad cleaning his trans

Today, working away, almost done.

mad tyte jdm type r intake

So at this point i had never seen it run, when it was hit the frame hit the cam gear. the hit bent the cam gear and put a little tear in teh timing belt.

New gear on and new belt on and :

I was so happy when i first fired it. I was a bundle of joy with lots of rumble.

Then i had to drive it

JDM CROOKED EXHAUST

How it looks today, after a lot of mud and i painted the wheels.
