| 2.0L Turbo | Well seibon comes with a layer of clearcoat hence the wet cf look well you will have to carefully wet sand that away and primer it and let it dry check for oxidation from the cf. i would but 2-3 layers of primer and sand away any lumps from the cf as you are in a way painting over opoxy so it will have some lumps you can sand away at those with hi grit sand paper. Then paint over it as you would with w/e colors 2-3 layers. The tricky part would be painting the clearcoat. The depending from the maufacture if the cf has been poorly made or not will determine how many times you would have to redo the clearcoat. CF once dried it will have some oxidizing and you will have to do it until there is no more with the clearcoat. Depends what you are going for if you want that transparent look i guess you can apply aw light coat of your color paint and clearcoat but if you bought wet cf you will have to wet sand that clear coat off if not the paint should stick. BECAREFUL WHEN YOU SAND DO NOT WANT TO SAND AWAY THE CARBONFIBER =O |

| 2.0L Turbo | So my car is coughing out white smoke its time for me to replace the seals and gaskets( I must have not broke it in correctly during rebuild of new engine lol) I decided might as well search for a swap. I stubbled upon 05 STi complete motor for 4800 but I am not sure if I want to do it without the right transmission etc(drivetrain) =[ Maybe ill just repair it and save up some more and find a crashed sti to do a complete swap with interior (most likely myself with some help from buddies, best ppl in the world ;] ) Finally reorganized the first page haha |
