So im having my car painted tomorrow and to cut down cost im stripping my own car. The painter told me what to take off so i did.

I got all the trim off except for the roof trim and the trim around the rear windows.

My question is: I removed all he clips on the rear window trim EXCEPT for one! it will not come off with me tugging on it. I dont want to bend the thin metal window trim. Is there something special for this one to come off?

this picture shows where the clip is that im talking about

I also can feel it from inside the car just behind my C pillar. and it feel like a long thin piece of plastic, when i turn the trim the little plastic piece inside moves also.

There for sure is a nut back there.

And that fastener is metal so theres really no breaking it or getting it out without damaging the trim and maybe the car.

I had to pop out the bottom of the C pillar pulled it forward, then stuck my little deep 8mm socket in there, loosen it up, then i put my arm in the big hole where the rear door cards are and loosed the nut with my fingers. then the trim pops right off

Bumping this becuase its good info...

Those "section B" clipsd are a motherf**ker...I broke every single one of them.

Anyone have a part number for em?

Edit, called Subaru, can't get the clips...have to buy the $269 Trim piece. Anyone have not broken clips, or the left and right quarter trims not broken? Its either that or double sided tape.

Sorry to bring up something old, but I was able to get the B section clips.(although you will have to tap the broken piece out of the moulding to insert the new one)

P/N is 65225FA070. Around $5 each. I hope this helps someone in the future.
