ok after reading through a thread i found this

"3.454 / 2.062 / 1.448 / 1.088 / 0.780 / 4.111FD - '02-'04 USDM Impreza 2.5RS/'05 Impreza 2.5RS Sport"

would this include an 02 2.5TS im thinking it does...now if im correct mine dosent hav a LSD. was that like only 2000/2001 2.5rs.

but technically if i found another 4.11 rear diff and welded it i could do "more fun" donuts. of would a clutch type lsd be better. i geuss i also have to worry about my tranny/axles...if i have a welded diff and try to make sharp turns it would shurely kill the axles right?

where i found the drive ratios

I will post pics of my welded diff in the morning. It's a very simple mod and all you need is a MIG welder w/gas, a 4.111 diff and the right tools.

Look at nissan, mazda, and toyota forums. The drift guys weld thier diffs up all of the time, and it is the same process...

...Now for my .02...
1.) Welding and R160 will result in a broken R160, just a matter of time (ask RWDwagon if you dont believe me)

2.) CVs will go out as well with extended or agressive use.

This is fun for a short bit, but by no means is this a long term mod. The drivetrain will not hold up, bottom line. Then again doing any type of motorsport will wear out the various parts a lot faster, so do what you want, just understand this is not a set-it and forget-it mod.
