Default Troubleshooting the HVAC

Problem: It won't turn on. At all. Not even 4.

I know it's not the resistor because when that goes bad, it still works on 4. It WAS working, then suddenly stopped. It's none of the arms because a) they're all connected but b) they don't control the speed. I checked the fuses and they're all fine, the relay clicks on and off so I know that's good too. I checked the connectors in the back and they're all clicked in, but I took them out and put them back just to make sure.

I'm out of ideas, but I need this working because I can't see out of my windows when they fog up. =/

Any wires get pinched since you removed the dash and everything? Use some kind of voltage tester to make sure all connections are getting power, grounds, all that electrical jazz.

sounds like motor. i would unplug it and jump the connector with a test light and if its gettin power and gets brighter when you turn up the speed i would replace the motor. but if you recently pulled the dash and it worked for a while after then quit you could of pinched a wire then shorted it to blow the motor or just fry a wire so that would be my first thought if you are not gettin power to the motor

Ugh. I just removed the entire interior and now something back there goes bad. I'd really hate to do this all over again. The bright side is that I've done it so many times I can tell you how many screws and bolts are in there, where they are and what sizes they are without looking at the thing

Mine was doing this, it started not working most of the time then after about 2 months it wouldnt work at all. Took the blower assembly apart, tested it, and it worked so I put it back together and it has been working since. Weird.

All you have to remove is your glove box.

Double check and make sure that you plugged in the right connector to the blower box. The fact that it worked before and showed no signs of going bad, that it is more then likely a bad connection somewhere.
