so i went to install some new brake pads(front) and i took off old pads and put the new pads on.. i go to put the caliper back on and it wont go. its gets caught up.. so you know how the caliper bolts to the bracket on the top and bottom, the top pin pushes in all the way so i have clearence but the bottom part that the caliper bolts into wont move at all. and i mean at all. i lube it up with wd40 and still nothing.. any suggestions on what to do.. and the whip is a 99rs.. thanks for the help

I'm kinda having a hard time following what your trying to explain, but did you push the pistons back into the caliper? It should all go back together fairly easy. If your jammed up somewhere it should be pretty obvious.

yah i pushed the 2 pistons on the caliper all the way back in. but where the caliper bolts up to the bracket or what ever it is, the top pin moves in and out freely but the bottom one not at all.. the caliper itself goes over the pads though, yes. i just cant get the bottom part onto the bracket.. does that make sense

you need to loosen up that pin, remove both pins, clean them, and put slide pin grease on them so they move properly.

Had the same issue a while back...carefully pull off the black rubber pin seals, pull pin out, re-lube and reinsert (make sure you reinstall it properly and straight or you can potentially bend it) . Pop seal back on and you should then have no issues aligning the floating caliper assembly.
