Default Are the newer STI side feed injectors bolt on for older style subaru?

I was searching injectors and found some 1000cc side fieeds that looked like the older style side feeds on my engine. Just wondering if anyone has used the new style and if they're plug and play with our rail and plugs?

I have successfully put in STi yellow side feeds into a '98 RS with no problems. The cap from the '98 needs a tiny modification. You'll see when you go to put the cap on.

If you have phase 1 or 1.5 style injectors, you need either ej25d fuel rails or fecker.co.uk collars.

I have the 97/98 style side feed injectors (ej20k engine). I emailed a guy selling the side feeds for the newer sti models and he said they bolted right in. They weren't very expensive so I will be getting some to help with the slightly higher displacement of the ej25d block, I want to avoid going lean.
