Yes there is a place you can send it. I believe that Broken Motorsports could take care of it for you, or IWire who just posted a little while ago does it as well (for a great price I might add).

I have done 2 97 to 02 wiring merges now as well. (but I don't like doing it very much and wouldn't if you are not in PA)

So I have finished reading all 12 pages now, a few things I want to clear up.
First off, I have a 96 L 5 speed AWD. Was looking on picking up a 05 STi donor car with side damage. Everything looks intact from engine to dash to wheels. What can I use to do a full drive train swap?

Will everything swap over including full harness?

What about suspension and brakes? Can that all swap over also?

Thanks for the help. Sorry for the newb questions.

So to sum it all up :

Use the WRX subframe = you have to use the WRX steering rack and weld / somehow mate the column to the rack

Use the stock RS subframe, notch it for the downpipe and shim your control arms

Use a Legacy turbo (I'm guessing this refers to the 1st gen Legacy, not the 4th gen) subframe and you're pretty much good to go?

Do I have this right or am I off?

Yes, and you could use a GC8 crossmember too.

How would a USDM steering rack work with that - just fine?

Yes, you can use a USDM rack with a JDM xmember.

I'll be starting a conversion on an 00 RS to 02 WRX in a couple weeks (the donor WRX should be arriving in a few days). Was wondering if anyone in the Reading/Allentown PA area would be willing to get together and share "swap" stories. Nothing like actually seeing how the conversion was done...for xmember shims, etc.

Arm.... I'm just south of Allentown. I'm pretty busy lately, but PM me and I can see what time would work out.
