| Preemie Weenie | It only took me a few months, but I finally found the time to install the STi roll cage I picked up last winter from Elite JDM. Yay for unemployment! I also picked up a few other random goodies thanks to a brief trip to Japan. What's new? -STi 6-point bolt-in roll cage -RS coupe carpet and floormats -Flare purchased from Autobacs in Osaka -Blue mirror tinting purchased from Autobacs in Osaka -Pedobear ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm really pleased with the result, this is the tightest fitting, most OEM looking cage I've ever seen. The installation on the other hand was far from pretty. I had to repaint some of the interior panels that were scratched while fitting the main hoop. After pounding out my dented floorboard and chiseling up the tar-paper with a butter knife and a dead blow hammer, I discovered a hole in my floor. Maybe that explains the foul smell whenever it rains? The rear bars went in fairly well, though I had to remove the rear struts to bolt them in and spray undercoating over the plates in the wheelwell. That's about when I noticed how hard it's going to be to replace the tan seatbelts with gray seatbelts while the cage is in place... The front bars were a freaking headache. I don't even know how I managed to force them in, but it involved pounding the floorboard down a bit, whacking a few things with a hammer, pushing the dash in with my feet while pushing up on the bar with my hands, and hanging from a prybar while beating the bar with the dead blow. Nothing too stressful, eh? What's to follow? -Er, an oil change maybe, and a flat black vinyl stripe on the windshield to replace the sunvisors removed during the cage installation. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I picked this little guy up from outside the local elementary school. I think he's pretty cool but he seems to give my girlfriend the creeps... ![]()

| Preemie Weenie | Yessum and barely. The only thing I had in the glovebox was a cheap fire extinguisher which is now attached to the main hoop. I can still turn on the dome light, but not by much. ![]()

| Preemie Weenie | We were just in Florence last week to reserve an apartment and go looking for a job (no luck there). The apartment we have is pretty nice, and we'll be moving in on the 8th of August.

Seriously though, I picked it up from a random auto-parts store in Japan. It's supposed to hold some type of air-freshening beads. The roll cage retails new for about $1000 plus shipping. It was originally from a V-Limited, the same vehicle I purchased the roof vent off of.

| Preemie Weenie | I didn't really buy a kit, I bought a whole roof cut from Elite Imports and took what I needed off it. I installed it in the parking lot of my old apartment with a Dremel and a cordless drill. See this thread: t3hWIT. Now with 100% more roof vent.
