Thanks dude. I got the header welded up this morning and installed it. It sounds pretty badarse except for the exhaust leak(s) that I managed to create.

This is probably my favorite car on this site. I've been following your build for a long time now, and all the modifications have been perfect and tasteful. When do you plan on doing a swap, since that's probably the next logical step now that the exterior is basically perfect? An EJ20G would feel at home in that engine bay I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this car at the drag day in the middle of the corn field in PA and I loved it then. This was about 2 years ago.

If I ever sold my RSTI and picked up an L, it would look almost identical to yours, save for a few differences.

Thanks a lot man. I do eventually plan on swapping it, but the biggest factor is money. I just graduated, my girlfriend has another 5 years to go (Doctorate in psychology), and we're moving to South Carolina. Ideally I'd like to swap it within the next couple years, but it all depends on the type of job I get and the pay that goes with it.

I'm planning on purchasing another car before I swap it so I can retire this one to a weekend ride. The reason for that is the type of swap I plan on doing. I'd like to purchase a complete front clip, or even a whole dismantled car from Japan. For minimum wiring and maximum novelty, I'll be converting it to RHD. I have no problems with electrical work, I have my ASE cert in Electrical, but I still prefer mechanical work and welding over splicing wires.

At the moment I'm not too picky with the type of clip since there's pros and cons with each.
Standard WRX - cheapest, fits the basic theme, plenty of room to upgrade
Standard STi - see above
RA - fits the theme more than standard, plus bonus transmission
V-Limited - Unique, and I know where to find one at a very reasonable price

But yeah that's the plan there. I don't know if I met you at the Suby Shootout, but I was there with a group of other Subaru's from Penn College. I took a picture of the black and silver swapped GC's there, the picture that ended up on the ECS homepage. That was also the first time I saw a RHD Impreza (the red coupe) and I was hooked on the idea ever since.

^ Yup, now I definitely remember. I don't think I met you though but I definitely remember seeing your car and I drooled over its cleanliness. The silver 4 door was mine; the black one was Paul's (@ ECS) old car. Both have/had Ver. 7 swaps. The red RHD coupe was my buddy Drew's, which he ended up painting galapagos green off the Honda Element and then crashed it. The RHD fury lives on in his RHD Impreza EJ20H flat green wagon.

Go V-Limited for the unique factor, especially if you can find one at a reasonable price!

That car was pretty sweet, I was wondering what shade of green it was.

Now that I think of it, I think I was asking if I could sit in your car at the Quaker Steak and Lube since I was picking up similar seats a few days later.

thread from the dead....I assume you have to drill through the chassis or they bolt onto stock location points? I'm debating if I want to buy a friend's cusco safety 21 roll cage that's similar to yours and has that diagonal bar in the rear seat area too.

They bolt through the chassis and you have to drill holes. Be sure they have the lower "sandwich" plates that come with them.
