| Thanks! I'm pretty proud of myself too...I thought I'd never be able to do it. Actually the website says something like 44% success after 12 weeks (tested with scientific process) ...but thats still twice as high as most patches, gums, etc. |

| I think Chantix has the same results as everyone else. Most of them have a good success rate within the first 3 months, getting past that has been an issue. So the lecture said pretty much the same thing as me. We need a 3rd party to put on a clinical trial. We also both believe the FDA will be moving to ban this from the US market sometime this year. There are def pros and cons to that.

| I totally hear what your saying. If the FDA does ban it, and it eventually gets FDA approval, it would be after extensive/expensive clinical trials and only approved manufactures who met production criteria would be allowed to market it. This would mean that consumers could be ensured that they are getting what they paid for (not watered down) and getting a product that is it as safe as it sounds. I think that if they continued to market it as a "safer alternative", those claims would need to backed up and the FDA would then have to monitor it's use (possibly making available via Rx only. Rx use would make it cheaper to obtain for those with good health coverage, but make it difficult to obtain for those without. This makes it "cheaper" for those who are in a better position financially but causes an inflation of the price disallowing a large percentage of people access (wanna guess what economic demograph has the higher smoking %?). It sort of boils around 2 laws. In 1994 the FDA put out the Dietary Supplement & Health Education Act" which was made with the intent of protecting consumers from "magical cures". This act enables the marketing of supplements without proof of safety as long as no claim is made for their use. Another quality assurance act from June 2007 where the FDA announced that manugactures have until June 2010 to comply to new codes. All manufactures have to evauate the identity, purity, strength, & composition of products and report all serious adverse events. I'm not taking a stance against or advocating all this, just laying down what I am seeing and what I think are possible outcomes.

| 1.8L | I just received an e-mail from Monique stating her major shipment is being held in customs. As soon as it is released she will back in stock. I'm gonna stock up on some Menthol!! FYI: Just wanted everyone to know that when purchasing E-juice every suppliers flavors will differ. I absolutely love Monique's Menthol. She was out of stock on anything above 15ml so i purchased a 50ml from Myvaporstore.com. TOTALLY different tastes, Moniques was sweeter and more like an after dinner mint, Myvapstore tasted like i was smoking fiberglass. It had a significant chemical taste. Just a reminder when buying liquids from new suppliers always buy in small amounts at first. I learned the hard way. LOL Last edited by Mclaren; 05-21-2009 at 11:28 AM.. |

| Searee-uslie. | FDA's stance is that it's a gateway drug to others. Yes. And with suppliers of the product using statements such as "Healthier and safer than smoking cigarettes", makes it so that the FDA has to do their testing to PROVE that it is just that. Which I don't know how they can do that, being that the FDA still doesn't have jurisdiction over cigarettes... but whateve...
