Default im new i dont know what to do!!!!

i am new to subaru's and i just bought a 98 2.5rs and its and auto. i want to convert it to a manual but i dont know what i all need to do the whole complete swap. all the info i can get it will be greatly appreciated.

I would be that guy and tell you to search, but my quick look yielded few results. I would also be that guy and give you a parts list, but I'm exhausted and would rather sleep instead. I'll check back in the morning. Good day to you sir.

i am trying to search to but i am kinda dumb founded lol. a parts list would be awesome. i am kinda not in a hurry to do this swap but yet i kinda am. the auto is very boring.

I'll get ya started....
You are gonna need from 98-01 RS: (00-01 have LSD)
Rear diff
transmission...of course
rear axles
driveshaft
shift linkage and every bushing
master cylinder w/ lines
slave clinder
clutch
flywheel
new shift trim piece(interior)
minor wiring adjustments.
I think thats about it. It's really not that hard of a job, I did it over a 3 day weekend.

i dont know how to swap auto to manual at all so parts list that i know will be Manual transmission ECU and etc. Anyway i got nothing to do so i will try helping you with search. and get back to here soon. Im kinda slow tonight . i havent drink yet.

I agree with you for the most part, but why would he need new rear axles? He'll need the rear diff because of the different gearing, but I don't see why he would need new rear axles.

Also, are you sure the driveshaft is different?

ahh yes thats what I forgot, manual ECU...you can wire without it, but just using the manual ECU is much easier.
