Are there any tricks that you guys have when reinstalling a longblock back into the rs...
Tried supporting the tranny, jacking the tranny, almost even tried using sledge on the windshield..lol...non worked though...

any suggestions?

Thanks

tranny wont mate up and motor mounts wont go even near the spots where you drop them down.

if the pitch stop is off, i'd jack up the tranny, and have someone push the motor in as you line it up.
making the pins line up is the name of the game.

Jack up the tranny a bit use a cherry picker and a jack underneath the oil pan to help guide it make sure nothing is in the way and swing it in =]. Might get tricky but i was able to do it myself

Jack up the part right infront of the tranny crossmemeber thingy just move it up slightly so ya have room to swing it in so its about equivalent space so your engine mounts doesn't hit your crossmember once ya feel it click it quickly screw on a nut or bolt i think there are 7 bolts and 2 nuts? 2 bolts at the starter. then slowly lower it with a jack underneath the oil pan to guide it into the engine mount holes

CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE THIN BLACK DUST SHIELD (that's held on with two 10mm bolts) ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TRANSMISSION ISN'T GETTING CAUGHT AND STOPPING THEM FROM GOING TOGETHER! I had to do the caps lock thing to make sure you check! My friend and I totally missed that for a few minutes and couldn't figure out wtf was keeping them apart. After pushing it down a little they just slid together
