Default DIY Wagon Rear Wiper Arm Upgrade

Inspired by Aegean93L's rear wiper conversion, I started hunting around the Honda dealer I work at for a bolt on replacement...I discovered that if you take the rear wiper arm from a 03-08 Pilot, and the rear wiper blade from a 05-current Odyssey, it will bolt right on, as well as provide the necessary clearance for the washer sprayer. Gives it a nice modern look, and the perfect low cost solution to that rusty arm you have on there now.

Part #'s

Pilot Wiper Arm
76720-S9V-A01
Odyssey Wiper Blade
76730-SHJ-A01

Tools Needed:
10mm Tapered socket (must be tapered, a standard one won't fit)
Ratchet wrench
Deadblow hammer
PATIENCE!

First, remove the old wiper arm by removing the cover, then loosening the 10mm bolt holding it on.

Next, firmly but gently wiggle and turn the wiper arm in the direction of rotation.

This is where the patience kicks in....you don't want to break that motor, it's expensive! Give it a few taps(in the direction of rotation)if it's being stubborn.

When the old one is off, line up the new one about 2" north from horizontal, place the socket over the splined shaft, and give it a few taps with the deadblow hammer until secure...don't hit too hard, or you risk breaking something!

Replace the nut, put the cover on, and step back to admire your handiwork.

Nice do you happen to have the part numbers for that? That sounds easier than modifying the new wagon blades onto my car

The real part numbers would be helpful. My shop has an account with a local honda dealer. I could prob have them look it up, but it would be nice to have the part numbers handy.

Wow, I wish I would have seen this before I sanded and painted my rear arm. That arm would look pretty good on my coupe, thanks for the diy.

Just wondering if that arm wiper combo is longer than stock? Im worried if i do get it, that it will hit my upper spoiler. Does it go higher than the third brake light?
