| Ok, so I went to Speedzone WHICH WAS AWESOME! ANYWAY! Broke my LCD screen on my rumor... ![]() Got home and realized... shit I can't call anyone....wait... the house is locked... EFFF.. So I used my phone for old fashion communication... throw that shit at the 2nd story window... IT WORKED... (Well getting inside.. the phone is still fuxerd... a lot) ![]() THIS IS HOW YOU FIX IT... TOOLS YOU NEED: Flat head Small flat head Small Phillips #00? I think? Patience Balls 1. Source parts you need... I needed an LCD... but then I ripped the flex cable... I got a parts phone from EGAY for $29 shipped. They also sell LCDs and flex cables individually... but I also broke the sliding action... (fixed it later after I ordered parts phone) 2. REMOVE THE BATTERY ![]() 3. ![]() jk... 3. 6 screws... get at them! 2 screws are covered up in the top corners, you can use a fine tipped flat had or knife to pry the pieces off. They shouldn't give you any trouble. ![]() 4. Gently pry phone apart with sharpest flat head you have. The green in the above picture is where the clips are located. I used a small flat head twisted sideways at the charger port to open a small crack, then I used a flat head used for glasses to pry the rest open. ![]() 5. 2 screws hold the motherboard to the chassis here. Remove them. ![]() 6. There are 3 clips that hold the mobo. I started at the bottom clip, it was much easier.. ![]() ![]() 7. BE CAREFUL HERE! Before you remove the mobo, you need to disconnect the flex cable. The flex cable is very fragile and to be safe I would not use anything other than your fingers or plastic to disconnect it from the mobo. This way you do no scratch the mobo. ![]() ![]() 8. After you have removed the mobo, you can remove and replace your keyboard. (I did...) This will also uncover 3 more screws. These screws hold the sliding assembly from the top to the bottom half of the phone. ![]() ![]() 9. 6 Screws hold the backing of the front piece on. 1 screw will be hidden by the sliding piece, just simply slide it of the way. A couple of the screws are covered by rubber, just use a small flat head or knife to pull the rubber off... ![]() The backing piece can be a little difficult to remove. There is a place where you can put your flat head to pry. Again, I used a standard flat head and a flat head for eyeglass repair. ![]() 11.<If you are using a parts phone you will need to carefully remove the next pieces to reuse.> Ok, no joking around for this part... The big silver thing is you LCD, we want to be very careful here... First, remove the flex cable (parts phone only). Then remove the sticker shield from the top of the wires. Save the sticker shield, it will attract some dust, so put it somewhere where it won't get much. Take a small piece of plastic or VERY CAREFULLY WITH FLAT HEAD pry up the little black piece holding the cable for the mic.<Picture below> There is also one holding the LCD (the flip is in the back isntead of the front for the LCD) ![]() ![]() ![]() 11. Use a hair dryer to soften the plastic... Remove the lcd from the case being CAREFUL NOT TO CRACK IT. (if you are using a parts phone...) otherwise... RIP THAT SHIT OUT. ![]() 12. 360 it all and do everything in reverse order... ![]() Now I can call my wonderful girlfriend again.

LOL we had those in class one day... and I called out to my lab partner "Catch" ![]() Man, I wish I had taken pictures when I modded my PS2 ages ago.... that would have been a cool write up... I haven't broken open a 360 yet, but i read some articles on cooling the processors and case mods and what not. I'd like to try it some time. Thanks for comments. Next write up (should mods feel it ok to post here) is an S14 SR into an S14 chassis. And I am also doing a KA24DE-T and I was gonna post how to rebuild it CORRECTLY...
