just to let everybody know if you've had your car painted and the the badges were reglued this method might to work with the new glue. I tried to my subie which was painted and the glue residue simply would't come off... at all. I tried forever but it just wasnt coming so i had to glue the letters back on.. just a FYI

I'm wanting to do this and put a pink "i" badge. Just too scared that with the time being so long, the subaru will be darkened and the rest of the trunk lighter color...hhhmmm...tanlines...

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of too, my car being a '93. Anyone ever try debadging an older one?

Thumbs up De-Badged Butt!

The fishing line and WD-40 afterwards with a quick polish... TaDa.

^^^ haha That sucks man. (I'm laughing with you...) I debadged the S U B A R U off my trunk like the video said. It still took me like 40 minutes though. But I've discovered a small dent since and it has been killing me...

Haven't had a chance to check out the vid. But my debadge took all of two minutes. Just pulled them off with my fingers. The only thing that was left was old, dried up sticky foam residue that was holding the SUBARU letters on. Used "Off" bug repellant to take the rest off.
Washed, waxed, and put a pink "I" in the center of the trunk instead.
Total time of the process, minus the beers, thirty minutes.
